transeuropa2009 discusses: transeuropa2009 brakes new grounds: Together with Europäisches Informations-Zentrum (EIZ) Niedersachsen we are fot the first time hosting the event „Bürgersitzung/ Civic Conference I to III“. Instead of lame audience talks there will be lively debates, instead of dry performance research existential discourse. At a representative venue transeuropa2009 will hold three conferences, that want to move borders iHildesheim. Together with special guests this program wants to initiate a dialogue with the citizens that can withstand beyond the festival. Here, being a citizen is no means of separation but the basis of partaking in the political process. And: a citizen is not who is allowed to participate, but who actually does. The project is supported by the Federal Agency for Civic Education, the Europa Informationszentrum Niedersachsen (EIZ) and the Bürgerstiftung Hildesheim. |
