we swarm

A special journalistic project was launched to research, explore and investigate the subject of the festival transeuropa 2012: without editorial hierarchies young journalists from all over Europe are in search of the forms of community of our time. The project comes to life through the stories that each and every individual shares equally with the swarm. Anyone can participate in the blog Www.we-can swarm.org. Online discourses grow out of the stories that were collected online, presented and continued during the festival. We will then discuss over several days which challenges our democracy has to face with the forms of communication like networking and internet becoming stronger, how social commitment changed and which claims to our society are being staked out by the digital natives. In a special room at the Festival Centre an alternative place of learning is to occur on six days for three hours in which experimental interview formats with performances, screenings, and interactive installations mingle.
